Taiti grandmother – Lambi in creole sauce, a fish dish

I saw Gabriele Galimberti‘s Delicatessen with Love photos today. This project of documenting world cuisine through the grandmothers’ best recipes is delicious and heartwarming. The proud look on the women’s faces, their authentic kitchens, everything… It tells so much about being a woman, captured so much of the good things about the world, it is so fun, but at the same time it breaks your heart. It also does a big job of documenting the world’s “grandmother culture”. I hope the project finds its place in larger international cultural heritage projects.

And it is more than the photographs, each grandmother’s recipe is documented as well.
One thing to note: the last part of the Turkish grandmother’s aubergine recipe is missing. You fill in the fried aubergines and put them in the oven!
